Our single-origin Nicaragua coffee is just one of the many crops that exemplify sustainable farming in the coffee industry. Each batch of 'Del Este,' with its rich notes of Braeburn apple and tobacco, captures the essence of the Nicaraguan farmers we've come to know. This partnership especially strengthens our commitment to producing high-quality coffee in the most remote regions.

Our Nicaraguan Coffee Farming Community

Located in the remote and rugged highlands of Limoncillo, Nicaragua, our farm is primarily managed by a devoted husband and wife team. Together with neighboring families, they form a close-knit community that is remarkably self-sufficient, growing their own food and meeting most of their living needs locally.

The region's climate, with its distinct wet and dry seasons, is perfect for cultivating delicate coffee varieties (Red Catuaí and Caturra). The wet season, spanning May to October, provides the necessary moisture for the coffee plants, while the dry season from December to April aligns perfectly with the harvest, allowing the Nicaragua coffee beans to mature fully and develop complex flavors.

Committed to Sustainable Practices

With sustainability as one of our core values, Ebru Coffee promotes eco-conscious practices within the industry to ensure the future of coffee production in harmony with the environment and local communities.

Since partnering with this community in Nicaragua, their commitment to sustainable practices has been clear. They adhere strictly to organic farming methods and utilize a simple rainwater collection system to sustain operations through dry periods. The soil, teeming with microorganisms and beneficial 'criollo' worms, enhances its fertility and structure, supporting not just our Nicaragua coffee beans but also the diverse crops they grow for food.
