Southern Mexico offers a moderate climate, high elevations, and nutrient-rich soil—ideal conditions for our distinctive Mexican coffee to not only grow but thrive. Single-origin, single-farm, and single-harvest, Deadbeat is a natural decaf coffee noted for its lighter-bodied flavor with a gentle sweetness. It is decaffeinated using only naturally occurring organic compounds (Ethyl Acetate), found in sugarcane. There is zero use of chemicals.

The Diversity of Mexican Natural Decaf Coffee

At Ebru Coffee Co., our mission is to support a deeper understanding of every single-origin coffee we work with by showcasing their unique botanical and flavor characteristics and how they’re intertwined with each growing region’s culture, community, and climate.

While many commercial decaf coffees undergo chemical decaffeination using solvents like methylene chloride or ethyl acetate synthesized from petrochemicals, our single-origin decaf coffee is decaffeinated using a natural Ethyl Acetate (EA) process derived from sugarcane. This method offers a safer and more sustainable alternative, preserving the coffee’s natural flavors without the use of harsh chemicals, allowing the essence of coffee from this region to truly shine.
