Sourced from the breathtaking village of Durato Bombe in Ethiopia’s Bensa district, this exceptional coffee is cultivated by over 600 dedicated smallholder farmers who have perfected their craft over generations. Grown at an elevation of 2050 meters, the 74-110 and 74-112 varieties thrive in the region’s fertile soils and unique microclimate, developing a fruit-forward, complex flavor profile. Rooted in sustainable agroforestry, these farmers integrate coffee plants with native flora, fostering biodiversity while naturally enhancing soil health and disease resistance - minimizing the need for chemical inputs. After harvest, the cherries undergo meticulous sun-drying at the renowned Kontama Mill, preserving their vibrant sweetness and lively acidity. This coffee embodies not just the terroir’s distinct character but also the harmony between nature, tradition, and community, ensuring a truly remarkable cup.
